Welsh writer, A.J.Desmond lives in Newport, Wales. Desmond is a post-graduate in Psychology.

AJ Desmond's work is hard to categorise. His second novel, Big Bang, is a sci-fi techno-thriller with surreal elements but humour is always evident. Desmond is fascinated with the conflict between public image and private reality, and the modern obsession with celebrity. His favourite writers are Mamet for incisive dialogue and Heller for the recursive humour.

In between novels, A.J.Desmond writes screenplays as occasional co-conspirator and script editor with the anarchic Slagg Brothers. The surreal duo have had work broadcast on ITV and have a commissioned Film Noir, featuring Frank Harper, Jimi Mistry, David Soul, and Luke Perry, entering production at Pinewood Studios in late 2010.
